Panasonic releases wireless presentation system at InfoComm 2019

Panasonic has announced its latest addition to the premium SQ1 display range at InfoComm 2019, with an optional wireless plug and play presentation system which enhances the potential for collaboration in corporate spaces.

Wireless capabilities provide a significant time saving, with employees easily establishing a connection between their own devices and the compatible SQ1 display screens.

The connection requires the user to simply press a button on the transmitter connected to the PC, to display the PC screen, negating the need for a HDMI cable or software installation. This is also present within the switcher function, which allows users to display content from an alternative PC.

This ensures the technology is more accessible to a range of employees and visitors, with individuals no longer required to transport multiple cables  or connect to a company’s WiFi network. The inbuilt infrastructure of the SB1 kit provides an automatic connection via the transmitter button to significantly reduce meeting set up time, without the need to enter any passwords.

The features also simplify installation processes, as the receiver attaches to expansion slots on the rear of the display, forming a single unit that requires no installation space and no wires between the receiver and display for video signal, audio signal and power supply.

High quality imagery is obtained with hardware encoding, enabling image compression and decompression for Full-HD resolution. The system is also compliant with high standard 1EEE802.11ac, obtaining the best quality images for moving picture transmission.

The optional features of the SB1 kit combines to enhance the SQ1 series’ suitability for high-end business applications. Remaining compatible with Intel® SDM expansion slots, it provides simple solutions for presentation operation.

“The number of displays integrated into the corporate space for presentations in meeting rooms is dramatically on the rise, with businesses constantly looking for the most cost efficient solutions which are accessible for everyone,” said Hartmut Kulessa, European Marketing Manager for Panasonic Business. “By integrating a wireless function inside our displays, employees can easily interact with the technology and focus their efforts on collaboration, rather than connectivity.”

The TY-SB01WP and TY-SB01WPB will be available for purchase from January 2020.
