Visual interaction technology for museums
The intelligent approach to visual interaction
To maintain high numbers of visitors to your museums, you need to be very creative. Exciting and ever-changing exhibitions are required to attract existing and new visitors. With digital visualisation equipment you’re able to change, update and alter your displays in real time and create new themes instantly. And our projectors also allow you to generate amazing atmospheres in your exhibition spaces, with the possibility of projection onto 3D objects.
But simply changing content or backgrounds isn’t enough anymore. Visitors like to be entertained and impressed all the time. So interaction is a key word. Visitors like to touch, feel and control content actively. Built-in touch functionality is only a start point in putting the visitor control or giving them the chance to offer feedback. With our intelligent cameras we can analyse faces, ages, gender and much more to shape what’s displayed to every visitor. Equally, other sensor technologies from third parties can be integrated in any way you can possibly imagine.
Panasonic offers professional projector solutions fit for any museum application – whether it's continuous exhibitions or special events, simple screen displays, projection onto 3D surfaces and objects, or 360° projection. The only limit is your imagination. Featuring fixed installation projectors, short-throw projectors, daylight projectors, portable projectors and everything in between, Panasonic professional projectors provide very low cost of ownership and flexible installation options that are eco-friendly, reliable and awe-inspiring.
Easy and cost saving Installation
Digital Link is an intelligent system that allows you to send HDMI signal, uncompressed Full-HD videos, audio and control commands all through a single LAN cable. Hence, it is a cost-effective, long-distance, high-quality digital transmission solution.
Our SOLID SHINE™ Series projectors use the newly developed LED/laser-combined light source, and deliver next-generation reliability and flexibility. SOLID SHINE Series projectors provide levels of reliability and long-lasting brightness unprecedented by conventional lamp-based projectors.
This new light source requires no maintenance for approximately 20,000 hours. In many cases, this means no maintenance until your next refresh cycle. Naturally, there are no lamp burnout problems during use, so reliability is further increased. There is also no filter to clean due to carefully engineered sealed optics.
As a consequence, running costs are dramatically lowered because of the savings on lamp costs, maintenance labour and the effort of managing a stock of lamps.
Professional display options
Delivering unmatched image quality and brightness, Panasonic professional displays are the top choice for museums. With the industry’s widest range of sizes and resolutions, we also offer a plug-in modular architecture that allows for an unparalleled level of customisation. Plus, interactive displays with built-in touch screen are the perfect tool for museums to enrich your showpieces or as an interactive information kiosk.
Why choose a Panasonic display for museums and events?
There are a lot of displays in the market produced by a variety of manufacturers, ranging from consumer TVs to lower-cost versions and high-spec professional models. Differences in digital signage, such as their reliability and visibility, are directly connected to business performance. Be sure to choose a professional model that’s suited to your specific application.
This is the most important display requirement. Digital signage must be capable of displaying images under a wide range of harsh conditions, such as continuous 24/7 operation. Panasonic's professional displays include various models that cope with difficult usage conditions.
Digital signage is viewed from the front and both sides. It is also often installed in bright places. Panasonic displays use an LED backlight and IPS Panel to provide beautiful images in various installation locations.
Panasonic's professional displays can be installed either horizontally or vertically. They also link easily to other devices, and make it easy to transmit data and display complex images from distant places. They make possible many things that simply were not possible before, providing solutions for user needs.
Large screens and projectors are perfect for a wider audience and larger exhibits. Sometimes the interaction or the information needs to be available to a single person. In this case, tablet PCs are the perfect interface for interaction and information exchange. But to hand out or install these expensive and easily damaged devices is always a risk. Not with the Panasonic Toughpad. They’re built for extreme applications, including outdoor use. You don’t need to worry about them being broken or becoming dirty. Easy-to-clean and rugged in construction, they’ll survive every customer visit. A variety of Toughpad mounting and docking options allow you to utilise the same hardware for stationary or handheld operations.
