Professional Remote Camera Systems

The freedom to shoot anywhere, anytime

Panasonic provides a comprehensive remote camera system solution that supports UHD and Full-HD recording capabilities for a wide range of applications via IP.

From fixed-rig TV productions to supporting the growth of e-learning within higher learning for lecture capture, from live streaming to corporate use in auditoriums, our remote cameras support the most difficult of shooting conditions in both indoor and outdoor situations.

It also has a built-in Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) system that minimises vibrations to the camera when mounted.

The outdoor AW-HR140 offers the same image quality as the AW-HE130 but has been designed to capture images in the toughest of outdoor environments. Its features include haze reduction, resistance to wind pressures and salt damage, a controllable lens wiper and the ability to work in temperatures that range from -15°C to 55°C.

The UHD-capable AW-UE70 provides UHD-quality images via HDMI, USB and LAN connection whilst also performing extremely well as a Full-HD camera via 3G-SDI connectivity. It also features a 20x optical zoom and in-camera recording via a microSD card slot.

The AW-HE40 comes in both a 3G-SDI and HDMI version, and features a 30x optical zoom, a night mode that supports shooting in low-light conditions, a High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode and an exceptional pan-tilt performance that supports smooth shooting across a wide area.

Thanks to a single cable operation, video and audio, control and power can all be provided through a Power over Ethernet (PoE +) feature, making installation significantly easier. In addition, the listed cameras can also support our auto-tracking software (AW-SF100) which automatically tracks people movement, making it ideal for both education and video conferencing environments. Colour and black & white options are available.

Ontop of this, Panasonic now offer a remote camera line-up of the cameras listed above with full integration support of NDI Version 3, enhanced wih a new high-efficiency mode called NDI|HX, allowing users to connect Panasonics’s professional cameras directly into a NDI network. Automatic detection of these cameras with NewTek’s TriCaster® and NewTek’s IP series of professional video switchers allows them to seamlessly integrate with other NDI-capable products, therefore enabling NDI-based video production workflows without any additional configuration.

The AW-HE2 is an excellent low-cost, fixed-position camera with a wide-angle lens of 95° and a built-in microphone, all within an ultra-compact body and whilst also having the ability to be controlled via IP.

Panasonic have partnered with a range of companies that support additional application within its remote camera line-up. This includes a collaboration with KST-Moschkau, who have provided an outdoor housing solution for both the AW-UE70 and the AW-HE40 in addition to wall-mounts for these cameras and the AW-HE130.  We have also collaborated with AR+ and the UR10 robotic arm, which can be used with the 4K multi-purpose camera AK-UB300.

We have also collaborated with AR+ and the UR10 robotic arm, which can be used with the 4K multi-purpose camera AK-UB300.

Our entire remote camera line-up can then be controlled via the compact, easy-to-operate AW-RP50 controller and the functional AW-RP120 that includes a joystick and additional operating enhancements. Both controllers allow up to 5 remote cameras to be controlled via serial, and up to 100 cameras via a switching hub.
