Georgina Barker

Channel Manager

Georgina Barker is UK Channel Manager for Cognito iQ. She is responsible for the affiliation between the growing number of hardware and software partners and Cognito iQ’s products and propositions. As specialists in Field Service technology, Cognito iQ has been designing workflow solutions and analytics tools for over 25 years. Georgina’s unparalleled knowledge and experience enables her to provide customers and partners with advice on industry led solutions and services that best fulfil their customer requirements.

Georgina has been with Cognito iQ for 6 years, and has held a number of senior commercial and marketing positions, which has enabled her to gain important customer and market insights. Her role enables a blend of two passions: optimising performance and business collaboration, from which she has witnessed phenomenal success stories and gleaned valuable learnings. She is delighted to share some of those experiences with you at the 2018 Summit.


Georgie Barrat

Host and Technology Expert

Georgie is a British television presenter, hosting Channel 5's consumer technology series, The Gadget Show. Georgie is also ITV Weekend's resident tech expert, and is regularly called upon to be a tech talking head on Channel 5 News, BBC Worldwide and BBC Radio 2. 

Outside of her role as a broadcaster, Georgie is also a leading technology journalist, and has written for a range of technology and lifestyle publications including; Marie Claire UK, Tech City News and The Mirror.

Georgie is passionate about changing the male-skewed angle that is traditionally associated with technology. She works alongside two charities aiming to get more girls into coding, encouraging 11-14 year-olds to study STEM subjects GCSE level and beyond. 


Robert Blowers

General Manager, Engineering and Project Management
Computer Product Solutions Europe (CPSE)

Robert is the General Manager, Engineering and Project Management at Panasonic Computer Product Solutions Europe (CPSE). He is responsible for a team of sales engineers and project managers across Europe, and a team of design engineers based in the Toughbook configuration and service centre in Cardiff, who design, test and manufacture engineering solutions for the Toughbook and Toughpad product range.

Robert has been with Panasonic for 19 years, having joined as an apprentice and followed a career in Engineering through to AGM at Computer Products Europe in Cardiff before becoming General Manager of CPSE.  He has a BSc in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and is a Member of The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management and The Institute of Leadership & Management as well as being a Prince 2 Practitioner. 

David Bowring

Head of Technology & Innovation, UK Field Operations

David is responsible for driving technology solutions in Field Operations to modernise both engineer and end-customer in-home experience and improve operational efficiency. Particular short term focus on bringing together the workforce of 10,000 Engineers, standardising the technology and ensuring alignment of solutions to support future business design. Longer term focus on using technology to unlock a more flexible operating model.

Derek Courtney

Lead Solution Specialist – Mobility

Derek has been working with customers across Vodafone’s Enterprise customer sector for the past 10 years and within telecoms for 20 years. Working as part of a team of mobility specialists, Derek and his colleagues drive the Workforce Mobility Portfolio at Vodafone UK, providing a broad spectrum of private and public sector organisations with solutions spanning workforce mobilisation, enterprise mobility management and security to drive efficiency and productivity.

The team use a consultative approach to understand customer needs and design solutions that truly leverage the technology available to deliver world class solutions.

Alex Harvey

Head of Robotics and Autonomous Systems
Ocado Technology, part of the Ocado Group, the world's largest online-only grocery retailer

After studying Mechanical Engineering followed by Computer Science and AI at Edinburgh university, Alex started his career as a software engineer and vibration analyst (dynamics analysis) in the aerospace industry. He worked at a company called HGL Dynamics for a number of years and was subcontracted by HGL into Rolls-Royce as a vibration expert. Alex is particularly proud to have lead the redeveloped of the analysis suite of applications as well as negotiating, specifying and managing the delivery, and after-sales support, of a condition monitoring and pro-active maintenance system that analyses data from all gas turbine powered Royal Navy surface ships.

After joining Ocado in 2010, Alex worked as Project Manager delivering a second generation, highly efficient, goods to man picking system that has been deployed both in Hatfield and Dordon. Alex then became Head of the Project Management and Research departments, responsible for a team of Project Managers and WMS (Warehouse Management System) Business Analysts and a team of Robotics & 3D Vision researchers and a Simulation & 3D Visualisation research team. In this role, Alex oversaw some of Ocado's recent projects, most notably the Morrisons ecommerce launch and has overseen the successful award of two EU Commission funded robotics research projects (Horizon 2020) with several high profile European universities. Most recently Alex has stepped back from the Project Management department to focus solely as Head of Robotics and Autonomous Systems, which includes leading the Technology development of Ocado’s proprietary warehousing automation.


Istvan Jakab

Istvan Jakab
Commercial Lead EMEA
Microsoft, Global Device Partners

The past 4 years Istvan was driving Microsoft and its Partners growth with devices and solutions. His area of expertise are cloud and on premise solution development across various channels of Telecom, Enterprise and Retail.
Most recently he took the opportunity to drive the commercial growth of Microsoft Global Device Partners in EMEA with Enterprise Solutions and Windows 10. 

His passion is business development in new territories, markets while helping organizations on digital transformation with Intelligent Edge devices.

Kevin Jones

Panasonic Computer Product Solutions (CPS)

Kevin has held board director and various senior management positions, in multinational companies, predominately in the electronics and electronic communications sectors, specialising in manufacturing operations, service and sales environments.

Kevin joined Panasonic in 2004 and is currently the Managing Director for Panasonic Computer Product Solutions in Europe. Kevin holds a Master Degree in Business and Administration (MBA). In his 'spare' time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, swimming and watching sport. 



Jan Kaempfer

Head of Marketing
Panasonic Computer Product Solutions (CPS)

Jan has been working at Panasonic for 16 years and is Head of Marketing for Panasonic Computer Products Solutions (CPS). He has extensive experience within the mobile IT and keeps abreast of the technological changes and market innovations that impact industries. He is responsible for the European marcom direction and product strategy of the business, which are developed alongside the European marketing team. Jan’s passion for the brand’s new marketing ideas and product features have certainly led to his business ethos and motto “With politeness and humor direct to the point” 


Brendan Martin

Vertical Product Marketing Manager
Panasonic Computer Product Solutions (CPS)

With over 17 years’ experience working in the Tech industry, Brendan joined the European Toughbook team in 2015 having previously held a role as Enterprise & Public Sector Marketing Manager for EMEA.

Throughout his career, Brendan has been responsible for delivering key Strategic European Education Shows and helped set up the Education and Healthcare Worldwide Strategy Groups.

Since joining Panasonic, Brendan has been responsible the Vertical Marketing and sales enablement tools for the Toughbook team.


Rachael Pugh

Solutions & Service Marketing
Computer Product Solutions Europe (CPSE

Rachael has been with Panasonic for three years and is part of the Product Marketing team. She is responsible for the marketing the range of professional services and custom design and engineering capabilities provided by Panasonic to create bespoke Toughbook Solutions. Based in the Toughbook Configuration and Service Centre in Cardiff (CPE), Rachael has over 10 years’ technical marketing experience through previous roles within the aerospace industry and laser systems.


Tara Rogers

Ground Operations System Specialist

Tara Rogers is the ground operations system specialist for easyJet, she has worked within easyJet for over nine years within roles that require process and system development.

She holds the responsibility between what the requirement of the customers and the staff on the ground need and want and the innovative technology that we can develop and offer them in their journey. She works closely with all airports and looks at ways that she can influence how processes are done to make them leaner and more cost effective.


Christian Stammel

Wearable Technologies Group

Christian is founder and CEO of WT Wearable Technologies Group and Navispace AG. Born in 1969, he successfully enables innovation and cooperation in the Internet of Things and wearables sector. Christian had already founded his first IT company during his university years, which went public in 2000. He is one of the digital pioneers with a track record of over 20 years in IoT and has created some world´s firsts including an ECG shirt in 2002. He advises some of the biggest tech companies and organizes with his teams important networking platforms in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia.


David Travis

Birmingham Sales Manager, Tesla

David has a background in sales and retail having worked for Tesla managing their Bristol location in 2016 opening their new mall store and Birmingham Sales, Service & Delivery location since mid-2017.

Previous to Tesla, David worked for Apple Retail UK managing in Cardiff and Birmingham following completion of their Graduate Leadership Program.



Jon Tucker

Head of Product Marketing
Panasonic Computer Product Solutions (CPS)

Jon is the Head of Product Marketing for Panasonic Computer Product Solutions (CPS). During his 18 years with Panasonic, Jon has gained extensive experience working as the technical lead in the deployment of mobile technology solutions with some of Panasonic Toughbook's largest customers, including British Gas, BT, Iveco and Ford. With a software engineering background, Jon has held a variety of operational and service management positions with Panasonic and for the past 6 years has headed up the European product marketing team.  Jon loves to watch sports in his spare time, especially with his son playing junior rugby and football and enjoys travelling.


Steven Vindevogel

Sales Director
Panasonic Computer Product Solutions (CPS)

Steven has been working for Japanese multinational Tech companies for over 20 years. He joined Panasonic in 2005 as Business manager for Belgium. Since then, he has held the position of CPS country manager for the Benelux region and more recently has been appointed as Sales Director for Nordic, UK, Benelux, France and Iberia. Steven holds a master in business economics and enjoys spending time with the family and plays football, tennis and rides his bike as you would expect from a Belgian!


Chris Walters

UK&I Country Manager - NetMotion Software

Chris has been successfully helping businesses enhance their digital solutions for 17 years, particularly within the enterprise and commercial markets. He has worked across a variety of industry sectors with a proven track record in strategic SI & carrier experience. He’s particularly skilled in the subjects of unified communications solutions; EMM, cloud security and more recently helping IT providers with operational and analytic data applications.



Jonny Watkinson

UK&I Alliance Manager – NetMotion Software

Jonny has been working within the network technology, enterprise solutions and digital media industry for 6 years. His specialism lies in mobile IT platforms and device, content and application management, having enabled modern enterprises to secure and manage information as it moves to mobile and cloud. Before joining NetMotion, Jonny worked in the field of cyber security helping businesses protect themselves against cyberattacks.


Jack Weixel

Head of Business Development, Android Enterprise

Jack helps growing organizations scale faster. His experience ranges from building an organization and its sales channel from scratch, to turning around poorly performing divisions of existing organizations. For the past 11 years, he managed business development efforts for Android enterprise and Google's cloud offerings. Prior to this, he founded two companies, a Personal Identity platform and one of the industry’s earliest Cloud Computing services. Jack has an MBA from Pepperdine University and BA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
