As part of a modernisation and restructuring, Punch Robson Solicitors moved Head Office operations to premises in Ingleby Barwick. Having been in operation for nearly 140 years from their previous Middlesbrough location, this was both a challenging and an emotional process. However, with changes in their client's access requirement to services it was also time for a change to the business.

The new offices now accommodate Corporate & Commercial, Property & Conveyancing, Wills & Probate and Disputes departments. Family Law and Mental Health & Capacity teams are also now based within a second office location, in Coulby Newham.

With a need to find a communication solution suitable to support these business changes, Punch Robson turned to leading Panasonic solution provider, PBIT working in close partnership with IT solution provider Cornerstone Business Solutions Ltd to deliver a winning combination of technology, expertise and services.

Thanks to the new Panasonic KX-NSX1000 communications system, PBIT was able to incorporate a resilient mixture of traditional ISDN voice services alongside SIP voice services to deliver a perfect blend of stability and flexibility with a


highly consistent business communication platform.

The KX-NSX helps companies provide a great overall customer experience by delivering the next generation


communication system that meets today's flexible workforce and increased customer demands.

Over 50 IP endpoints were deployed, delivering high quality voice and dual gigabit Ethernet services to every desk and enabling cabling cost reductions and efficient converged voice and data deployment.

Unified Messaging services were enabled across all users with ad hoc conversation recording for key members of staff to capture important conversations for later review and annotation. A group of 10 mobile employees were enabled for anytime, anywhere operation allowing a wider reach and productivity of on the road staff members.

The system is equipped with an automatic system back-up, so if the primary unit fails a secondary unit is promoted to the working system, providing a totally resilient service to support the mission critical communications of the business.
