Panasonic nominated for Star Product Install Award
Panasonic’s PT-RQ13 has been shortlisted for a star product award at the Install Awards 2017, thanks to the installation of 4K laser projection at central London conference venue Church House.
The new equipment was selected for the venue’s 600-seat Assembly Hall as part of a complete AV upgrade, which saw a significant futureproofing move from a single lamp-based projector towards the far more powerful laser option.
Panasonic was chosen due to the brightness capability, as the room has a 20.5m throw. As well as the 4K resolution the two 10,000 lumen projectors can also be stacked to give extra brightness, with the venue using Panasonic’s geometric adjustment software to make sure the combined images are lined up accurately and effectively.
The resilience offered by the laser technology was also an important factor for Church House, as a major London venue, with 19 separate spaces hosting over 800 events a year.
The Install Awards have become a prominent part of the pro-AV industry calendar, celebrating the best projects from the last 12 months. The awards are organized by NewBay Media, responsible for long-running trade title Installation.
The event takes place at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in Kensington, London on 29th June.
