Panasonic shortlisted for three UK Rail Industry Awards

Panasonic Business has been named as a finalist in three categories at the UK Rail Industry Awards.

Celebrating the best in innovation within the rail industry, across both the supply chain and operators Rail Technology Magazine has organised this prestigious event.

Panasonic is shortlisted in both the ‘environmental & sustainability’ and ‘cost base reduction’ categories for the first UK installation of the company’s Off Grid Power Solution at Worlaby. Developed in collaboration with AD Comms and poweroasis, it utilises renewable energy and storage technology to provide cost-effective power in remote areas.

Also shortlisted in the ‘passenger safety’ category is Panasonic’s Trespass Warning System, which incorporates Panasonic’s unique camera technology and scenario based rules to track people and analyse behaviour associated with trespass and vandalism.
