Panasonic Business is developing drone finding technology that can help mitigate the threat of drone accidents and terrorism. 

Research by Oxford Research Group, describes the threat of high street drones as ‘a game changer in the wrong hands’, the Group’s report The Hostile Use of Drones by Non-State Actors Against British Targets goes on to say, ‘drones will be used as simple, affordable and effective airborne improvised explosive devices’.

Panasonic Business will use IFSEC 2016 to introduce some of the company’s smart technologies that reduce the overall cost of security systems, and will ask the industry to reconsider how CCTV is procured.

Panasonic will showcase its newly launched camera technology equipped with people masking technology, secure communications, smart coding and rain wash coating, as well as VIQS and facial recognition that the company says means a lower overall cost of ownership.

Panasonic Europe has announced the acquisition of Alan Dick Communications, a leading UK technology integration specialist providing end-to-end telecoms-based services to the transportation and mobile telecoms sectors.

The acquisition of Alan Dick Communications (which will trade under ADComms), which includes ADComms’ companies IPS, AIB, and Rail Order, provides Panasonic with an opportunity to expand into the rapidly-growing rail market, incorporating mainline rail, London underground and other light metro infrastructure in the UK.

Panasonic Business will introduce the industry’s most robust PTZ security camera, designed for the most severe weather conditions and mission critical applications, at IFSEC 2016.  

The rugged Aero-PTZ (WV-SUD638) has Full HD resolution at 60fps with a 30x optical zoom lens. The camera features hybrid image stabilisation technology and gyro-sensors, to minimise the impact of external vibrations.
