At NAB in Las Vegas today, Panasonic announced a series of P2 innovations for the broadcast and production industry spanning HD handheld recorders and file-based server functionality
Panasonic has used its presence at this year’s NAB in Las Vegas to introduce a software upgrade to augment the recording and shooting functions of its popular AG-AF100 Large Imager HD Cinema Camera Recorder. In a further product upgrade to its AVCCAM line-up, Panasonic has also announced upgraded versions of its newest professional AVCCAM HD camera recorders, the AG-AC160A and AG-AC130A.
Continuing its evolution to higher-speed, lower-cost media, Panasonic today announced a new series of ‘microP2’ memory cards which have an SD card form factor to enhance cost-efficiencies in media pricing. The simultaneous introduction of a microP2 Card Adaptor assures that the new series of 64GB and 32GB microP2 cards will operate in the current P2 hardware.
